1.3 million Android devices are activated daily

According to the Eric Schmidt Android Ecosystem is still growing at its faster pace with over 1.3 million devices activated per day and by the end of this month the total activation will reach around 500 million.
According to the statement made by Schmidt at the Motorola event, there are over 480 million Android devices activated yet although tablet shares just a tiny part of it. While he didn't declared how many tablets have been activated yet, but he stated that about 70,000 are being activated daily that brings it to nearly 5.4% of the total android activation.
It seems that Nexus 7 have not been able to boost up the Android sales as it was expected, though most makers are struggling quite hard to remain in the competition. However the data given did not accounted for the Amazon and B&N tablets, as they don't feature Google Apps, So, they are not activated through Google.
Overall numbers put the Android on the first place with about 53% of the total market share while iOS went down a little to 33%. Android seems to be running sky high and nothing seems quite good enough to bring it down.
