How to Factory reset your Android

In this post we will discuss about how you can factory reset your Android device. But before we start, you should know what will happen to your device if you Factory reset it and also some of the reason why you may not want to do this.
So, what will happen if you factory reset your Android device?
Factory resetting your device will wipe out all the data off the internal storage of the device and will return the device to the default factory settings. 
This means you will lose all data related to Google account, system data and application data, custom setting and all the application you have downloaded. In addition to this there is also an option to erase the external memory as well. Once the factory reset is complete your phone will start working as it did when you powered it up for the first time. You will then have to re-install all your data and application back into the device.

  • Backup all your important files and data
  • Sync all your contacts with your gmail account

Step by step instruction

  1. From the home screen click on the 'Menu button'
  2. Now click on the settings
  3. Select the 'SD and Phone storage' option
  4. Click on the 'Factory Data Reset' at the bottom
  5. Click on the 'Reset Phone' to proceed with factory reset. (This step will erase all your data, so be sure you have a backup)
