Microsoft's new patent tech tries to bring Android apps to Windows phones

A patent by Microsoft in 2010 can help, it to bridge the gap between its OS and other mobile OS such as Android. It helps users to find the Windows alternative to the android app they enjoy on their android devices.
From the report from the GigaOM , the new patent is actually a technology that will feature two capabilities. At first it will analyse the smartphone for the apps it has on it and then Microsoft's tech will search through the windows apps store for the similar and window's equivalent app and will make it available for purchase. It is quite evident that at the places where the windows will not have and similar app window could suggest any third party app.

So, one part of the tech would be like a app search engine, it will be finding windows alternative for android users but the patent also suggests that the tech will also be able to transfer the original data and app from the Android phone to the new windows phone and if it happens then it surely will be a game changer.

Right now, Android and iOS are leading the market by a large amount. Window is having tough time fitting apps in its apps store.

With this Microsoft is trying to change the whole market but its not the first time that other OS are supporting the Android app, the BlackBerry's PlayBook does support the Android app by emulating a version of the Google's operating system.

But there is still a big IF in the line, because like the iOS Android apps also doesn't allows other app or device to share the data with other apps. But if Microsoft has found a way that could be through emulating some Google OS. But if this becomes a reality then it surely will reduce the android's presence in the market bridging the gap between the Android and Windows.
