TomTom app coming soon to Android

The wait for Android smartphone users are almost over as TomTom chief says that they are planning to launch revive the success of their iOS satellite navigational app with Android with a new app soon.

The Android users will soon be able to get the TomTom sat nav services on their mobile phones according to the co-founder Peter Frans Fauwels who says that the Dutch company’s Android app will soon be available for all android devices.
However no exact launch date or pricing was revealed but firm admitted that a summer launch is quite important as they want to trace the success of their iOS app.
The TomTom iOS app didn’t come cheap, with a high price tag of $39.99 and it is expected that the Android version will also be priced somewhere around it.
The app will be made exclusively for the Android devices but the company says app will not be compromising with any features that are being offered by its iOS counterpart.
TomTom revealed another plans for Android users while launching the Map Paradise Project, a worldwide competition that will allow users to win a trip to Tropical Island by helping TomTom to improve their map for these locations.
