Sony starts rolling updates for Xperia P

According to the reports Sony has started rolling out Android 4.0 update for its Xperia P series of smartphone. Company posted in its blog that the update will go live in certain markets from today itself while the other may receive the update within coming weeks. 
Xperia P users will receive a notification on their smartphone when the update will be available for their handsets. Company also states that while most of the devices will be able to install the update over the air but in few cases they might have to connect it with the PC with the PC companion program or the Bridge for Mac in order to update the firmware.
The update will be bringing tons of new features like:
* all new media apps like Album, Walkman and Movies
* Standby mode has been tweaked to increase its standby time by up to 4 times.
* The lock screen has been improved
* Widgets have been made re-sizable. 
* Mobile data control has been improved
* The new update also bring a recent app button

Company also cleared its intention that the Xperia U, Xperia go and Xperia Sola are the next models that will be in the next lineup to get Ice Cream Sandwich update. 
Currently Xperia P supports Android 2.33 and features a 4-inch display. It is powered by 1 GHz dual core processor and a 5 MP camera.
