Sony has just started rolling out Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich for its cheap and charming Xperia Mini Pro, proving that Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich isn’t just for high end Android phones.

With the recent announcement of kicking out of Xperia Play form the list of the ICS update receiving devices due to support issues, Xperia mini pro users were quite worried with the handset’s lackluster 1 GHz processor and 400 MB of internal memory.
To the relief of much of the Xperia mini pro users, Android Ice Cream Sandwich has been rolled out for most of the Xperia mini Pro models worldwide. Although there is still some issues with network locked handsets. To download the update users will need to connect their devices with a computer and install the update package with the help of Sony’s PC Companion Software. But before updating make sure that you have backed up everything from your device.
Sony has yet not revealed the features this update will be adding to the devices, although users are guessing about revised interface with resizable widgets and a faster web browser.
The company is yet to roll updates for Xperia mini, Xperia Active and live with Walkman devices but has promised to deliver it soon.
