Apple iPhone to get bigger screen

Apple is gearing upto provide its new generation iPhone with a bigger screen according to media reports. The company has already started to take orders from its suppliers in Korea and Japan.

The Screen will measure 4 inches from corner to corner and will provide a roughly 30% increase in the area if Apple keeps other dimensions proportional. Apple has been using the 3.5 inches screen, since iPhone's launch back in 2007.
The producation of the screen has begun at the three suppliers namely Korea's LG display co ltd, sharp corp and Japan Display inc, a Japanese govt. brokered merger that combines three of the display companies.
It is likely that all the three suppliers will get the screen order from the apple and the production may began from the early june. This will allow the apple to go into iPhone production from August itself. The equipment of the larger screen is the iPhone is seen as the marketing strategy against the Samsung electronics. The smasung has reveailed its flagship phone samshung galaxy S3 this month with 4.8 inch screen.
With consumers getting more interested in doing task on their smartphones, the need for the bigger and better display is being seen.
