Sony Corp has revealed its new Xperia S tablet to compete with the Apple Inc.'s New Ipad and Samsung Galaxy Tab. It is basically a new initiative to unify its all mobile devices under one name.
Sony as identified its mobile devices( it also covers its smartphones) as the key devices to overcome the losses caused by the electronic items that engrossed a total loss of about 455 billion yen about $5.8 billion.
Featuring a 9.4 inch screen and powered by the Android 4.0 ICS, it is the second tablet from Sony, first one being released in April last year.
At that time Sony hoped to get the second spot in the ever increasing competitive tablet category ahead of Samsung but it failed to attract enough customers.
Although it is more powerful than its predecessors but it also faces stiffer competition that first one with the market being crowded with the new releases and options.
